What is WiseImage Pro
WiseImage Pro is a powerful hybrid drawing editor and raster to vector converter designed around the new Windows XP-style interface. Hybrid drawings consist of monochrome, grayscale, and color raster images overlaid with vector elements. Multiple raster images can be loaded and the number of raster images handled simultaneously is unlimited. WiseImage Pro allows you to edit, update, and convert (both semi-automatically and automatically) to vectors scanned maps, drawings, sketches, and other graphics. With WiseImage Pro you can:

Vector (CAD) drawings can be imported into WiseImage Pro or exported to DWG, DXF, and DGN vector formats
Easily convert raster lines into vector objects
On-the-fly vectorization of specific areas
Color separation tool for separating color on various layers for easy vectorization
Clean up raster noise through a selection of filters including smoothing, thickening and thinning, speckle removal, and hole filling
Edit raster symbols with the raster object selection feature that enables you to select raster lines, arcs, and circles using tools similar to those for vector selection.
Create raster copies of vector objects and add them to the raster image.

All of these features are easy to use. WiseImage Pro runs outside of AutoCAD and doesn't require a CAD manager to use the software.

Works with Color and Grayscale Raster Images
WiseImage Pro allows you to crop color and grayscale raster images, change their resolution and scale, deskew them, and eliminate linear and non linear deformations using the calibration feature. You can change brightness, contrast, hue and saturation, adjust the color gamut of image using a histogram, improve image quality and apply a set of color filters (Blur, Unsharp, Mask, Median). With WiseImage Pro, you can draw on these images and create raster objects by rasterizing vector objects to color raster, and merge monochrome raster images with color ones.

New Tracing Capabilities
WiseImage Pro has an advanced tracing function (semi-automatic, interactive raster to vector conversion) for color and grayscale images. In addition to simple graphic object tracing in WiseImage Pro, you can now trace raster shapes that correspond to vecor templates. Select a raster shape and WiseImage will recognize it and match it to the appropriate vector object from the loaded symbol (block) library or a customized library designed by you to match your requirements. The polyline tracing feature has a new auto-detection of tracing direction. For instance, if you have not chosen a direction during a specified waiting interval, then the program will continue tracing in the automatically defined direction by itself.

Automatic Raster to Vector Conversion
WiseImage Pro enables the conversion of scanned drawings to CAD files one by one or in a batch mode, even overnight. This conversion feature allows precise tuning to achieve the most accurate vector representation of the source files. Or, it can be done on-the-fly bya new "R2V Controls" toolbar. The original line styles, widths, text height and hatch styles are preserved. The result of the vectorization consists of lines, polylines, arcs, circles, text and shapes (blocks). WiseImage Pro has a built-in OCR feature (use with optional external ABBYY FineReader OCR plug-in) that recognizes text strings at any angle on a drawing.

Vector Enhancement Tools
WiseImage Pro has a comprehensive set of tuning tools for auto-correction of vectors obtained after raster to vector conversion. There are specialized functions for editing vectors such as merging a group of vectors to the object of a given type (some segments to an arc or circle), cropping, extension, etc. One very powerful tool is Vector Object Search and Replace, which works on vectors (CAD files). For example, it is possible to find and replace all fasteners on mechanical drawings or all windows and doors on a floor plan with standard symbols.

Flexible User Interface
WiseImage Pro gives users the ultimate flexibility by allowing them to create their working environment for the software by altering the layout or removing unnecessary commands and buttons. With WiseImage Pro users can configure their own toolbars and menus. WiseImage Pro runs under Windows 98, NT 4.0, 2000, ME, XP. WiseImage Pro runs outside of AutoCAD and doesn’t require a CAD manager to use the software.

Document Management
WiseImage Pro is a stand-alone module of IDEAL's Online PlanRoom, browser-based document management software. Archive existing paper drawings and CAD files for easy retrieval to your company's intranet or to the Internet. Index and view existing paper drawings and CAD files using a standard browser. Use WiseImage Pro to edit the scanned images or convert to vector files as needed and then archive the most current revision back on the intranet or the Internet.
