What is WiseImage Pro
WiseImage Pro is a powerful hybrid drawing editor and raster to vector converter. Hybrid drawings consist of monochrome, grayscale and color raster images overlaid with vector elements. Multiple raster images can be loaded and the number of raster images handled simultaneously is unlimited. WiseImage Pro allows you to edit, update, and convert (both semi-automatically and automatically) to vectors scanned maps, drawings, sketches, and other graphics. With WiseImage Pro you can:

Vector (CAD) drawings can be imported into WiseImage Pro or exported to DWG, DXF, and DGN vector formats
Easily convert raster lines into vector objects
On-the-fly vectorization of specific areas
Color separation tool for separating color on various layers for easy vectorization
Clean up raster noise through a selection of filters including smoothing, thickening and thinning, speckle removal, and hole filling

Works with Color and Grayscale Raster Images
WiseImage Pro allows you to crop color and monochrome raster images, change their resolution and scale, deskew them, and eliminate linear and non linear deformations using the calibration feature. You can change brightness, contrast, hue and saturation, adjust the color gamut of image using a histogram, improve image quality and apply a set of color filters (Blur, Unsharp, Mask, Median). With WiseImage Pro, you can draw on these images and create raster objects by rasterizing vector objects to color raster, and merge monochrome raster images with color ones. This new version of WiseImage Pro has a tracing function (semi-automatic, interactive raster to vector conversion) for color and grayscale images.

New Tracing Capabilities
To Convert a raster symbol, line, arc, circle or outline to a vector object, a user only has to pick a point on the source raster object. The tracing mode can be set to retain, delete or smooth the original raster object. WiseImage can also recognize raster hatches and trace arbitrary raster curves by AutoCAD polylines. When tracing polylines, the program can automatically define the most probable trace direction.

Automatic Raster to Vector Conversion
When applying automatic vectorization, the user needs to set recognition parameters before starting the procedure. WiseImage for AutoCAD recognizes and converts to corresponding vector objects raster lines, arcs, circles, symbols, points, polylines, outlines and hatches. The program recognizes raster line types, widths, and dimension arrows. The results of the automatic vectorization ofter require further correction - this can be done automatically with tools that will merge vector fragments, create orthogonal lines, and round objects wiedths to specific values. Resulting vector objects can then be separated by weight, AutoCAD layers and color. During automatic raster to vector conversion, WiseImage for AutoCAD converts raster texts to AutoCAD text entities. It is also possible to convert raster texts to polylines or outlines. The program can be easily taught to recognize new text characters. You can also use external OCR modules.

Vector Enhancement Tools
WiseImage Pro has a comprehensive set of tuning tools for auto-correction of vectors obtained after raster to vector conversion. There are specialized functions for editing vectors such as merging a group of vectors to the object of a given type (some segments to an arc or circle), cropping, extension, etc. One very powerful tool is Vector Object Search and Replace, which works on vectors (CAD files). For example, it is possible to find and replace all fasteners on mechanical drawings or all windows and doors on a floor plan with standard symbols.

Flexible User Interface
WiseImage Pro gives users the ultimate flexibility by allowing them to create their working environment for the software by altering the layout or removing unnecessary commands and buttons. With WiseImage Pro users can configure their own toolbars and menus. WiseImage Pro runs under Windows 98, NT 4.0, 2000, ME, and XP. WiseImage Pro runs inside of AutoCAD.

Document Management
WiseImage Pro is a stand-alone module of IDEAL's IntraNETIX Online PlanRoom, browser-based document management software. Archive existing paper drawings and CAD files for easy retrieval to your company's intranet or to the Internet. Index and view existing paper drawings and CAD files using a standard browser. Use WiseImage Pro to edit the scanned images or convert to vector files as needed and then archive the most current revision back on the intranet or the Internet.
