Eprints4u’s Aperture Card Blow-Back System is a cost-effective system
designed specifically to replace old and ailing aperture card readers.
This system enables users to perform functions ranging from the most
simple, such as printing a hard copy of the card, to the more complex,
such as capturing a digital copy of the card and creating a searchable
database. Eprints4u’s Aperture Card Blow Back System comes completely
configured and ready to use.
Applications
With Eprints4u’s Aperture Card Blow Back System, you can scan and index
up
to 300 aperture cards per hour and print them to full 36” wide
monochrome prints at speeds up to 567 sf/hr. In addition, the system
reads Hollerith code for automatic scaling & file naming.

Manufacturing, Scientific, or any industry that requires high volume
scanning and printing of aperture card based drawings. It can also be
used to convert Aperture Cards to CAD and Product Data Management (PDM)
applications or for use in populating an Online PlanRoom.
Black & White Scanner Accuracy
The scanner that is included in the Aperture Card Blow-Back System
scans with unparalleled accuracy, +/-0.1% in both the X and Y axis to
ensure the most accurate scan possible. In addition, it can scan hole
punched cards for automatic control of document sizes, reduction
ratios, and file naming. Scanner resolution is 50 to 400 dpi.
Scan and Index in One Process
The automatic indexing software included in the Aperture Card Blow-Back
System allows you to automatically load images to be indexed,
automatically zoom to areas on the image for each index field, use the
scanner’s default values and macros, and more. This efficient software
automatically queues and displays the drawings to be indexed. While you
index a drawing, the scanner continues working to make the next drawing
available. All software is full loaded and configured on a desktop
computer that is powered by Intel® Pentium® 4 processors to
handle multiple productivity. A 17” NEC LCD Monitor is included.
Increased Printer Productivity
The compact and sleek printer that is part of the Aperture Card
Blow-Back System is designed introduces a new simplicity in features
and functionality. The ink system uses pre-filled cartridges that
easily snap-on and off for quick, clean installation. The transparent
caddies keep ink levels always visible. This versatile printer easily
switches between monochrome and color printing. It outputs 567 sf/hr in
superdraft mode for monochrome printing and 37 sf/hr for color
printing.
Optional Upgrade
Aperture Card Blow-Back System indexed jobs are compatible with IDEAL's
Online PlanRoom. Archive aperture card drawings on a company intranet
or a secure, password protected internet with Eprints4u’s Online
PlanRoom.
Search, retrieve, view, and print large format drawings using only a
standard web browser. Print from the web to your Aperture Card
Blow-Back System printer, or any large format printer.
