Management System
Eprints4u’s AEC Image Management System is a cost-effective system
designed to speed the process of scanning paper drawings; to provide
quick access to scanned drawings via searchable database; to enable
easy printing to full color graphics printer; and to provide out of the
box system readiness to meet your scanning, indexing, and printing
applications needs. All software is fully integrated and comes loaded
on a Pentium 4HT, Windows XP computer.
High Performance Scanning
The scanner in Eprints4u’s AEC Image Management System combines
scanning accuracy with scanning speed. Scan a typical E-Size monochrome
drawing in 10 IPS and a color drawing at 3.0 IPS at 400 dpi turbo. The
scanning accuracy is 0.1%+/- 1 pixel precision. Color is captured at 48
bits for maximum color precision, passing the best 24 bits of color
data to the computer. Grayshades are captured at 16 bits for maximum
precision passing the best 8 bits of grayshade data to the computer.
Scanning resolution ranges from 50 dpi to 800 dpi and are selectable in
1 dpi increments to match user requirements.
Simultaneously Scan and Index
Eprints4u’s AEC Image Management System provides scanning and
single-field indexing for every document scanned, and attaches the file
name, time, date, and computer operator’s name to the database record.
This allows for quick and easy retrieval of all your scanned images.
Directly print archived or updated drawings to Eprints4u’s AEC Image
Management System printer . Keep track of all scan and print jobs for
accounting purposes.
Increase Printer Productivity
The compact and sleek 36” color graphics printer that is part of the
AEC Image Management System is designed introduces a new simplicity in
features and functionality. The ink system uses pre-filled cartridges
that easily snap-on and off for quick, clean installation. The
transparent caddies keep ink levels always visible. This versatile
printer easily switches between monochrome and color printing. It
outputs 567 sf/hr in superdraft mode for monochrome printing and 37
sf/hr for color printing.
Optional Upgrade
Take your scanned drawings and view using a standard web browser. It is
cost-effective software for enterprise or work group viewing of
drawings. This software is an add-on module to scanning and indexing
software provided in the AEC Image Management System. It enables
migration of scanned archives to a digital print-room repository.
