Introduction

COALA© is a very productive Large Format Color Copying System for reproduction of large format orignals with scanners and plotters. COALA© enables the service provider to offer his customers a Scan Service which comprises the quick and efficient reproduction of large (>A0) coloured as well as monochrome documents. Once digitalized, the picture data is available for further use or archiving. COALA© captivates through its easy to handle operating surface and competitiveness. In one step, large format documents are digitally recorded and can be immediately re-used or copied – with it Copy on the Fly is possible.

COALA© was developed on WindowsNT for WindowsNT as a genuine 32bit application and can therefore use optimally all the advantages of this operating system which is preferred by the professionals:

Multi-threading permits the efficient use of a CPU or several CPU`s simultaneously. A very special feature of COALA© is the ability to use several colour printing devices simultaneously. With COALA©, any number of plotters can be operated via network connections next to locally connected printers. For that you neither need additional network software or even a File-server, because COALA© makes use entirely of the network functionality of WindowsNT. The data can be stored in a complete range of file formats (e.g. TIFF), which are supported by most graphic and archiving applications (EDM). So repeat copies from jobs can be done at any time. Scanned customers` documents can, with the appropriate Graphic software, be processed further to re-print them using COALA©. In addition to this, the possibility exists that with this data, for example, to open an archive of the scanned information – whether it be for your own personal use or in the customer’s contract.
